HEMMERDINGHY’s Hull is constructed utilizing Hinckley’s DualGuard® composite construction utilizing a Kevlar and E-glass outer skin and aircraft grade end grain balsa below the waterline. She features a Carbon Fiber inner skin. All materials are laminated in Vinylester resin using the patented Seaman Composite Resin Infusion Molding Process (SCRIMP®) for unparalleled strength and stiffness and weight savings.

DECK:
Hemnerdinghy’s deck is constructed from an E-glass outer and inner skin with aircraft grade end grain balsa and closed cell foam core, laminated with Vinylester resin using the patented Seaman Composite Resin Infusion Molding Process (SCRIMP®).These materials and building techniques provide for a superior finish, offer greater resistance to osmosis, deliver a high degree of stiffness & stiffness/weight ratios, and greater hull strength against impact damage and thermal insulation.
Hemmerdinghy's Main deck is easily accessible via the coaming doors. With wide side decks and handholds on the underside of the pilothouse coach roof, moving forward is done with ease. Her large bow rail offers security and peace of mind while moving about the deck.

Hemmerdinghy's "Lido Deck" cockpit features an integrated, molded L shaped settee with adjacent loveseat seating to Starboard. To starboard is a Kenyon electric grill featuring a Vitrifrigo beverage cooler below. Access to the side decks is provided by coaming doors with a positive locking latches for safety when not in use.

The SYRENS WiFi hotspot enables multiple WiFi devices using both external WiFi signals and a Cellular network with 2’ antenna for extended range for connection to WiFi hotspots. A 4’ digital cellular antenna with amplifier allows for an extended range cellular network connection. A high performance router is included in the communication package.

The VIP Stateroom to Starboard is clad in cherry is finished in hi-gloss. The upper bulkheads feature white fabric, brightening the space and giving it a much larger feel than the standard cherry finish found on other Talaria 55's. Twin berths boast large raised panel drawers below with ample storage and a hanging locker with night stand that features two additional drawers.

The VIP Head adjacent to the stateroom is teak clad finished in hi-gloss. This head doubles as the on board day head. The bulkheads are teak finished in hi-gloss.The countertops are in Arctic White Corian featuring an under mount sink and single lever faucet. Storage lockers featuring raised panel doors offer ample storage with additional storage and a waste receptacle under the head sink with a large vanity mirror over the sink. This "wet head" boasts two custom glass doors that fold inboard to create a "stall" and mitigate water intrusion

Upon entering the spacious Master Stateroom, you pass through the large Cherry raised panel entry door. The forward facing centerline queen berth is accessible on both the port and starboard sides. The custom his and hers hanging lockers are located forward offering generous hanging space. This feature carries the beam further forward and offers a commodious stateroom not featured on any other Talaria 55'. Additional storage is found outboard of the berth on both sides. The starboard side features a small settee. To port there is a vanity featuring a custom built in seat that stows neatly below the counter. A mirrored vanity with three opening doors offers additional storage. Forward of the vanity is a Samsung HDTV on an articulating mount. Above the berth is a large hatch with an integral Oceanaire Screen shade allowing Natural light and ventilation into the space.The large Master head is accessed to port.

The large en-suite Master Head features white Arctic White Corian countertops with under mount sink. The cherry bulkheads are finished in hi-gloss. There is a large mirror on the aft bulkhead located above the sink. The Shower is in finished Antique White and features a hand held shower head. A glass door is utilized for the shower enclosure.

HEMMERDINGHY was built as a the most highly optioned Talaria 55’ at the time of her construction and no expense was spared. She was spec’d with MAN 1450 HP common-rail main engines which currently benefit from a recent A1 service. Her Northern Lights 15KW Generator can handle all operational and domestic loads even at times of peak consumption. Her Seakeeper 9 Gyro and Lectrotab trim tabs enhance stability and performance characteristics. The Dometic Chilled water system features three stand alone units and is designed with redundancy in mind. The system can operate even if two of the chillers units should fail.

With redundancy in mind, Hemmerdinghy features two 220/125V, 50 AMP shore power services with shore entry breakers per ABYC standards and individual isolation transformers for dockside protection.
Each shore power cord has a dedicated Glendenning Cablemaster and is easily operated from the the transom mounted three way momentary switches or via the wireless remote controls. Her upgraded 15KW Northern Lights Auxiliary Generator ensures ample power for all operational and domestic needs.
Her Custom electrical panel features circuit protection for each individual function on both the AC and DC portions of the panel and is clearly labeled for ease of operation. All voltages and amperages are monitored by the digital voltage and amperage meters located at the top of the electrical panel and are protected by a clear tinted acrylic door for safety and allows all voltages and amperages to be monitored at a glance.
24-VOLT DC SHIP'S SERVICE:
- The 24V DC-120/240V AC panel is easily accessible in the passageway below to the galley and staterooms
- The house bank is comprised of Four 8D AGM batteries for the main house bank located forward for equal weight distribution(New 2022)
- The starting bank is comprised of four, 4D AGM batteries for the main engines and auxiliary generator(New 2021)
- The 24V system is protected by a common wire bonding with a minimum branch wire size of #8 AWG tinned copper per ABYC standards.
- Heavy-duty Guest battery switches are used for both the port and starboard starting banks and offer ability to parallel to the Starting Batteries. The auxiliary generator also utilizes it’s own heavy-duty Guest battery switch for isolation.
- The start banks include Mastervolt 12/24Volt start battery isolators
- Two Balmar® High output alternators, one on each engine rated at 100-amps/ 24Volt DC, for the house bank and one 60 map for start bank
- Mastervolt 12/24V Bartery isolator

240/125 VOLT AC SYSTEM:
- 240/125 VOLT-60 Hz AC is supplied from the shore power

GENERATOR:
The Northern Lights 15 KW generator installed is rated at 240-Volts AC-60 Hz. and is mounted in a rigid sound shield outfitted with a Hobbs hour meter, and is protected by a high temperature water shutdown, low oil pressure shutdown and shutdown bypass switch. The control panel is located conveniently next to the electrical panel in the passageway forward of the pilothouse for ease of operation while managing the electrical system.
