CETACEA is arguably one of the finest classic Feadships ever built and her current availability presents an opportunity to enjoy a proven world cruising yacht which has been all around the globe. Her Dutch pedigree and resulting quality continue to make her one of the most sought after Feadships over the past 50 years. Benefitting from owners who provided constant maintenance and upgrades, she remains in excellent condition. Her current owner is the most recent Commodore of the New York Yacht Club. The upper flybridge has a fiberglass hard top with a full enclosure of high quality flexible plexiglass. This allows it to be open for fresh air or to be closed down to heat or cool depending on the weather and guest preferences. This large space has the main helm and bridge controls forward with an amazing 360 degree view. It has built-in dining tables after on both sides, with seating for 8-10. This is one of the most popular spots onboard at all times.
Bridge Aft Deck
Aft of the flybridge is a huge deck with full-beam seating along the aft railing. The current owners have transformed this entire area into a great workable space with custom teak buffet’s featuring a built-in BBQ, Ice Machine, Wet-Bar, storage, etc. It is perfectly suited for large parties, sunbathing, or just watching the world pass by. In travel mode this deck also holds multiple tenders and toys. There is a huge sunshade which can be quickly deployed from the aft potion of the hard top, which add even more versatility to this incredible platform.
Lower Aft Deck
The lower aft dining area on the main deck can also be fully enclosed with additional high quality flexible plexiglass windows. They are so well made, they are like having actual glass windows but have the versatility to open this area up, or keep it closed down for heating or air conditioning. CETACEA’s formal dining room is all the way forward in the deckhouse, past the galley and up near the the bow. It features a large traditional mahogany dining table and chairs.
Owners Office/Study
Just forward of the main salon is a study room with a large desk and wine storage. A lush sofa bed easily converts this into an additional sleeping area for a nanny or as optional privacy. Just forward of the Study is an elegant powder room.
Cockpit
The cockpit is huge and is great for accessing the tenders and toys or for getting big groups on and off the yacht while at anchor. It is also where guests can enjoy some fishing or diving off the swim platform and is where some guests typically enjoy an evening cigar. She has centerline double doors in the transom which make it the preferred boarding place while at anchor. Her huge swim platform allows tenders the best access to drop off and pick up guests in unstable seas.
