This new 72 Convertible is another edition of this fabulous story offering ground breaking blue-water performance, style and engineering.

    The standard Open Bridge accommodations layout includes four staterooms each with a private head, a J-shape sofa in the salon, a U-shape galley with custom granite countertops, crown molding on upper cabinetry, a large walk-in pantry forward, and a queen berth in the forward stateroom. An optional layout also offers crossover berths in the forward stateroom.

    The standard Enclosed Bridge (EB) salon mirrors the Open Bridge plan with the addition of a circular staircase to the enclosed bridge helm, which serves as a second salon with an L-shape sofa, a cocktail table, refrigeration, and an entertainment center. An open galley, an L-shape sofa and crossover berths in the forward stateroom layout also are available. In addition, the 72 is offered in a Sky Bridge version, which provides the best of both worlds with an enclosed bridge and an open bridge above the EB. A day head is standard on all three 72 models.

Arguably the fastest convertible in the Viking Fleet through several engine packages from MTU, the 72C can reach the fishing grounds or an owner’s favorite destination with a cruise in the upper 30 knot range and at WOT into the mid-40s. The 209 square foot cockpit can accommodate an entire team of anglers and crew even as it is centered with the optional Release Marine Trillion Series fighting chair and houses an optional Seakeeper 36 under a watertight hatch just forward of the transom LiveWell. This cockpit can also function through the longest of tournaments with its expansive mezzanine seating area with optional air-conditioning that houses a large bait freezer compartment, an ice dump area for the optional Eskimo Ice Chipper, a drink box, and direct access to the engine room. Walking into the salon one will notice the rich interior surrounded by high end wood packages in either high gloss or satin, oriented in either a vertical or horizontal grain. To starboard is the convenient day head as well as the stairs to the enclosed bridge, and to port is an Ultraleather u-shaped sofa with optional teak tables from Release Marine. Forward and to port is the u-shaped Galley that can be figured openly for anglers to walk around the space or closed in allowing for more seating volume on the sofa. To starboard of the Galley is a raised dinette with an ample rod storage in the drawer underneath. Passing the walk-in pantry on the port side, and down the companionway, owners and guests will find ultimate comfort in the accommodations with 3 staterooms and 3 full and ensuite heads. Even the crew has phenomenal accommodations in the crew quarters located on the lowest level, with its own en-suite head and direct access to the engine room for ultimate convenience. The climate controlled enclosed flybridge the captain will have excellent visibility at the forward helm with 360 degrees of paneled glass. The dash helm can house numerous electronics packages from Viking’s subsidiary company AME.
